Iowa City offers vast options when it comes to dining choices, no matter what you are craving you can find it. As time has gone on restaurants have come and gone from the area but a few have remained near and dear to our hearts and have been feeding area residents for 40 years or more.

Hamburg Inn 2 is Iowa City's oldest family-owned restaurant. Opened in 1935, this restaurant is one of the most famous landmarks not only in the area but in the state as a whole, as it has hosted many presidents such as Ronald Regan and Barack Obama. It even hosts the Coffee Bean Caucus each primary.

Airliner is Iowa City's oldest bar. Opened in 1944 this joint is best known for its amazing pizzas that you can get daily. Not in the mood for pizza feel free to check out their many options of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more. They also offer online ordering for pickup or delivery.
